Is thier any College Courses i can take to help me towards my future career as a FireFighter?

Alright well im 17 years old, and i go to a Vocational school as a Plumber, when im older i depict myself as being a Firefighter with a Part-time job as a plumber. I want to go to college and i was just wondering if thier is any course that can help me with being a fireman. i know im putting a bunch of unnecessary info in this but i have alot of questions and im hoping for answers. so if you can help me out that would be great. i Also know that when i turn 18 i have to take the civil service exam.
